Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoe Trails
Experience the snowy winter scenery of Arosa by skiing along our varied cross-country trails. Or perhaps a slow, gentle alternative: why not try snowshoeing?
Cross-Country Skiing
A total of 30 kilometres of trails are prepared for you on Maran, Prätschalp/Ochsenalp, in the Isel and on the Obersee (only when the ice is thick enough).
Perhaps you would like lessons and/or a guide for cross-country skiing (classic or skating style), telemark skiing, snowshoeing or nordic walking? If so, the Geeser Cross-Country and Ski-Center will be happy to help you out.
Compulsory Cross-Country Ski Run Pass
By purchasing the «Arosa Loipenpass», you make a contribution towards the demanding upkeep of the cross-country ski trails. At the same time you benefit from the following:
- Free use of all cross-country trails in Arosa
- Free travel on the Isla bus
- Cloakrooms, waxing room and the cross-country rescue service

Snowshoe Hiking
The gentle winter activity. Snowshoes used to be the way hunters and farmers got around, but today they are modern pieces of sports equipment for winter hikers, skiers and snowboarders.
We offer exciting hikes in the stunning landscape around Arosa for companies, families and groups. Tip: On our popular moonlight hikes you can actually see the sparkling sky without interference of light pollution.
- Since snowshoeing is very easy, no previous experience is necessary.
- Snowshoe hikers who wish to make their own way around can obtain details of suggested routes at the snowshoe centre.
- Marked snowshoe trail at Maran, 2 kilometres long.
- Snowshoes can be hired or purchased at the Geeser Cross-Country and Ski-Center Maran.
